1 day, 2 movies! Haha.

The first one is Journey to the Centre of the Earth.


Hey you must have heard about it since young right? What journey to the centre of the earth, around the world in 80 days... Ya.. Something like that. This movie is for those that love outdoor activities like outfield, hiking etc. I like Brendan Fraser the way he runs. Hey think about it man, he acted quite a lot of this kind of shows. A true example is The Mummy. Where he loves to explore and discover new stuffs. The process are almost the same. Got a sidekick, and a pretty lady. Then they will encounter monsters, ghosts, and those animals that you never see before.

Ok, as you can see... From the title you already can anticipate what this movie is going to be like. However, even though from that much you anticipated, this movie is nice. A good story line, interesting characters, nice scenery and most of all, Brendan Fraser. *clap clap

I like the scene when they enter a cave that is full of ruby, emerald and diamonds. Then the sidekick took a couple of diamonds and brought it home. Imagine you are the one the brought it home. 1x diamond maybe can buy you a house. Another one can brought you a car. Another one can brought you a wife. Great man.

Next, Money Not Enough 2

Local production by our very own Jack Neo. Yeah yeah yeah... Jack's movies are funny. That's the selling point right? Maybe. But this movie keep telling me that they are really very budget. Like those normal local dramas. Not that big. Quite disappointing.

Ok the story is about 3 brothers whom encounter business failure and in the end became poor. Then without giving up, they manage to retrieve what they have lost.

I like the quote, "The most poor times are not when you are penniless, but is the time when nobody is around taking care of you."

This is when their mother is going to die. Quite touching actually. Imagine when you are old and nobody around taking care of you. You children are all struggling with their lives. Some may even borrow money from you. Isn't that scary?

Rating: 3/5 - I think Jack likes to show how ugly Singaporeans are. 0.5 is for Lai Yi Ling, she acted quite well in that show. I got a different impression of her from now on. 0.5 is for their mother. I really feel sad for her. In the end she died.
