A day with Ricaro - Tactless or Tactful?

A scene where Ricaro is sitting in the meeting room with the Lawyer and other Colleagues.

Currently Ricaro has to consult the Lawyer for his company one of the "O $ P $" cases.

Lawyer, "blah blah blah, yeah yeah yeah and la la la"
(The above sentence is substituted by other words just to make is more confidential. It has no other meaning and other than that is just coincidence.)

Ricaro turned his head around and whispered to Senior B, one of the Colleagues.

"I dunno what he's talking!"

Ricaro's intention is truthful. He really dun understand what the Lawyer is talking. He has this perception since young: Lawyers belong to the "High-Intel" mammal. The way they speak is way too intelligent. It needs to take some time to digest.

However, his attitude for the above scenario leads to...

1) Superior A, Senior B and Senior C think that Ricaro is blunt, tactless and has a low IQ.

2) Ricaro needs to be educated.

3) Ricaro should master the art of hypocrisy, the pretense of having a virtuous character.

The fact that when you really dun understand what they are talking and yet you still cannot question them. Just because the Lawyers have "powers" therefore normal human beings should use their brains (tactful) when talking to them. If not, you will show how stupid (tactless) you are.

Then Ricaro came with this formula:

Tactless = Truthful = Stupidity
Tactful = Hypocrisy = Wise

People with great "powers" should be well treat.

Deem to conclude, hypocrisy comes from these "powers" which are that, come from humans.

First weekend of 2009

The first gathering with Ankit in 2009

We went to Newton Circus. Because Ankit said before he likes to eat BBQ stingrays. Surprisingly our HQ men were there also! They said they wanna meet up with Mr Ankit before he went back to the US. (The photos are still pending...) However I must say! I forgot to inform our beloved Brian Brain Brawny... And he's now cursing me to the end. And, people like Benjo and Johnlee are already half gone. Dunno what they up to nowdays. Seldom see them.

The first movie that I watched in 2009. Accompanied by the Musketeers of Jurong...



I din manage to watch part 1 so part 2 I totally have no idea of what's going on. But! I have read some history of China. Therefore I know each character and what role they are playing.

Ango, "You know we are watching RC2 you should go and do some research what! Go and buy RC1 VCD and watch beforehand la!"

He thought I dunno anything about RC2 and HE'S TOTALLY WRONG!! I even know at the later part of the movie. Who eventually won and who eventually died. He's the one that dunno the history of the 3 kingdoms.

Ango, "The Zhou Xun is the one...."

Ok, I dun like war movies. But ancient war movies I still can take it. Of course! Ling Zhi Ling. Hahaha... Remember that time when we were at Vivo City and RC1 had a sneak preview? And I managed to take photo of her.

The battle was awesome. The scenery was awesome. The characters were awesome. So basically the movie was awesome. History were made by people, and people like Cao Cao is one of my favourite. He fight for his ambitiousness. Zhuge Liang was the wise adviser of the 3 kingdoms. Whenever I play the game of 3 kingdoms, I always recruit Zhuge Liang as my adviser. Ya and people like Zhao Yun, Liu Bei, Zhang Fei and Guan Yu are also the famous people in the 3 kingdoms.

5.42am - 2009! Here we go! Here we go! Here we go again!

Another year

2009 comes too soon. Although 2008 was a massive disappointment. And January reported first.

A lot of resolutions:

Have faith, hope and confidence
I hope to present myself to others that I'm not just another guy that has low self-esteem. To have a high self-esteem really helps to be successful in whatever you do. =)

Love animals
Yeah, I love animals. Amphibians are the ones that I love and I will love other as well. So I guess in the year 2009, I will feed the tom cat outside my house when he comes scratching my window instead of shooing him off.

Get my car license
Ok I admit, I dun like Mr Quek, my driving instructor. And I will stop hating him but instead try to focus more in every lesson so that I will have my license sooner and stop seeing him in the future.

Eat more bitter gourds
Whenever I see bitter gourds on my dining table I will scream and grumble. Bitter gourds are really a healthy vegetable. It can simmer down the heat in our body. However! I still condemn brinjars and ladies' fingers. That's too bad!

Be more kind and helpful and considerate and courteous and whatever-good-traits-you-name-it-I-have-it
Correct! Minus away the arrogance and ignorance. The world will be better if people around have all the good traits. To hope people have all the good traits why not start to have all the good traits in yourself first?

Forgive and Forget
Use the F word to say things like "Forgive" or "Forget" instead of misusing it.

Smile when taking photos
There's nothing to hide right? So what if I'm ugly? Ugly Betty already earned her name and I think I ought to have it too... Ugly Robert. Hmm, sounds cool~

Save the earth
How? I think I will recycle the paper in my office. I will ask myself this question whenever I going to print a document: Do I really need to print this or I can just view it in soft copy? Maybe another question will help: Do you want to see the amphibians down there suffering while you are here smoking?

Be a high class Otaku
To be an Otaku is already a courage. Be a stylish, lovable and high class Otaku is a challenge!

Sleep early
I think most of the time I sleep early. So I guess this resolution should change to...

Dun sleep too late
Yep! I should not staying up too late. It's unhealthy.

Gatherings keep the memories alive

17th Dec 08 - 4 Stars 3 Months 2 Hours 1 Gathering

We have been keeping our promise, 3 months 1 gathering.

Ever since our poly days we know each other until now. And not all people can maintain the friendship that long. Bye and go, hello and goodbye... You know, sometimes, effort counts. It's so great to see ourselves going through adult lives. See, that time when we were teenager, we are so immature. Our thinking compare to now, is totally different. We see one another ups and downs, we know one another inside out, we care for one another right to left.

That's why we met at that day for a gathering and also, a Christmas Gift Exchange. It was fun, as in, normally gift exchange, we need to buy present beforehand. But, that time, we declare we were busy to buy, so we on the spot went to purchase for the exchange. So the sequence is like this:
We choose a number, then each number (1 to 4) represent us. So let's say, my number is 4 and Noelle choose 4 so she had to buy for me. Then I chose 1 and that number represent Skitty so I have to buy for her. Then 30 minutes later, we met again to conclude our gift exchange ceremony...
So I had an earphone from Noelle, which I said to her I need earphone for my mp3. Skitty got clothing from me where I bought from G200. Noelle received a hangbag from Jerlina, bought from EDC and Jerlina got a Hello Kitty cushion from Skitty...

So happen that when Skitty open her present, she got 2 shirts. 1 formal and 1 polo tee. However! Skitty's bestest best friend in the whole wide world, Ricaro had bought size M for Skitty. So size M for Skitty is definitely a no go. It will be like wearing skirt. So Ricaro and Skitty went back to G2000 and hope that they can exchange a size S for Skitty since Ricaro had just bought for less than 20 minutes.

Min2 " Errr... Hi, my friend had just bought this shirt but it was too big for her. So can I exchange this? We just bought not long ago..."

The manager with a you-owe-me-20000bucks-face "Tsk, goods sold are not exchangeable."

Ricaro, "But I just bought 10 minutes ago!"

The manager now with a you-owe-me-9408538947598347389bucks-face " I KNOW! I KNOW! I serve you just now! I remember you... Ya! 10 minutes! I KNOW! I KNOW!!"
So she keep repeating herself "I KNOW! I KNOW!" around 10 times.

The manager still with a you-owe-me-98746546321321bucks-face and threw the shirt back to Min2 and said, "Nah, go to the counter and the cashier will change for u. Jav! Change this for them!"

Eventually The manager had successfully spoil our day. However, minus that manager, we really enjoyed ourselves and we hope that 3 months 1 gathering may increase to 1 month 1 gathering.

And we were proud with our prezzies!

20th Dec 08 - Ankit Gathering

And Ankitar (one of the HQ 4 Shao gang) had reached Singapore on the 19th. So promised by his leader (whom is me!) we shall have a gathering after he got back. Then the leader (still me!) arrowed, no! Should use the world delegate, Rogeroko to plan this gathering and BigZ to assist him. I met Ankithar first at Clementi Station. So upon seeing him, I was delighted. Already 3 months since I last saw him. That time he still can show off his Pink IC to me but now not anymore!!! HAR HAR HAR HAR~

Okay okay, we went to meet Rogeroko at Plaza Sing. Because we were going to play our all time favourite DOTA! Also, to let Ankithar see how has Rogeroko improved in his Dota skills... However, Rogeroko still the same old Rogeroko.

After that we headed to Bugis for our dinner. We went to a restaurant called Shoduko.

Rogeroko said menu 703 is delicious. Then me Ango and Justea ordered 703. But the overall rating for 703 was 6 out of 10... And also, this shows that Rogeroko does not have any good taste among food. HAW HAW HAW... We still dun wish to end the day after that. (Although the main character, Ankithar was feeling tired and Ango kept getting distracted) We then went to eat some desserts.

Alright, after some drinks and games and singing, we finally cannot take it. All were tired and we made our way back to our lair.. Not Selarang Camp anymore! This is not a nights out but a meaningful gathering.

The Day I Watch The Day The Earth Stood Still

I had watched a dozen of show like this. World End. The end of Mankind.

People had warned people that Earth is dying. People had told people what should be done to save our planet. People had make an effort to save our planet Earth. However, is it OUR planet?

Mankind A, "Why are you here? What's your intention?"

Alien A, "I'm here to save Earth."

Mankind A, "But why are you killing us? Aren't you going to save us?"

Alien A, "No. I'm not saving humans. I'm here to save Earth from humans destroying Earth."

(I was seriously offended. But Alien A is stating the fact.)

It's all along we are the one that killing Earth. We have no rights to declare planet Earth is our home. It's such a shame that invaders are here to reprimand us what we had done to Earth.

In order to thrive, mankind enter the world of civilization. The more civilize we are, the more we are actually poisoning Mother Earth. Why we are doing this? Why we need to do this?

Actually it is for our generation. Humans are classified as selfish. However, selfish is because for the sake of our next generation. Outsiders may seem that we are built for destroy, demolish and we are still ignorant. They assume that we are not aware of all these and therefore we need to be eliminated.

Mankind A "We will change! Give us time! We will change!"

Mankind B "We will change when only we are at the most extreme condition."

True. If one day we encounter the end of Mankind, I think that moment we will do anything to survive. If one day you know that we are going to die, you will definitely plant more trees and stop throwing rubbish in to the sea. This may sound pathetic but this is the fact.

Although the show had not much action like other "doom's day" shows, (references from "Armageddon" 1999, "The World of Wars" 2005 and "The Mist" 2007) but actually it illustrates logic. A vivid story line to show why we are dying.

Otaku

Mr Otaku! How are you~

Otaku comes from Japan. Basically it describes (from Wikipedia) a person with obsessive interest with anime, manga, comics and video games. It also describes a person that have no broad shoulders and not willingly to train his physically fitness, always stay at home even though the weather is fine, fair skin color because the sun can melt him, hair is oily because can't be bothered to spend more on shampoo, have normal look mainly of his single eye lid, very introvert towards girls, spending less than $100 a week because stay at home so often...

It sounds so me... I'm worried. Weekends stay at home and eating home cooked food for all 3 meals. Even one step to outside makes me reluctant. Ahh... Ever since I ORDed I become more and more like an Otaku! Maybe it's just that I'm really passive although I may not look like one. Skitty had commented me before, "Actually you dun like to take initiative to call your friends out, although you had lots of friends in your list." So true.

My dressing is an "anyhow" type. I like to wear what I want to wear. I had different directions of fashion sense. I dun think my dressing is the same throughout a week. Every day has its own theme. However, comments said that everyday my dressing is the same. Eventually this lead to nasty stare from my strangers. Berms with wrong shoes. Shirt with wrong pants. Okok, I just dunno how to mix and match. AND I DUN GIVE A DAMN! Living in the west in Singapore really look like a frog in the well. People in the east tend to doll themselves up.

The main point is, I will keep to myself what I want to be. So what if I'm an Otaku? Does it hurt? I dun think so. I make myself happy, others see and comment is merely a feedback. If one can show others he had the ability to influence, then he's the one that can overcome anything.

No life? How to determine a person that have a happening life? How to be trendy?

A tendency of regret.

I taste blood. Every now and then swallow.

My mouth become sensitive than usual. Although the pain killers work but still, blood can be seen flowing from the wounds every night. My gum is not made of steel. Every words spoken will cause pain. Every pain will hinder any movement made. Hard food will spoil the entire appetite. Even eating soft food with no taste at all.

What to do...
